About Propel Pitchfest24

Pitchfest24 is a platform provided by ACIC-BMU | Propel at BML Munjal University to encourage new ideas, innovations and young start-ups. It would provide an opportunity to the budding entrepreneurs to present and showcase their idea to the world and get a chance to get funding and other benefits to Propel forward their venture.

Highlights of Pitchfest24:

• Pitching to a panel of angel investors & VCs
• Apply for Startup India Seed Fund Scheme.
• Panel discussions with Thought Leaders in the startup ecosystem.
• Masterclass sessions, Bootcamp and Fireside conversations
• Individual mentoring/networking with investors and experts.

Start-ups for this pitching event will be categorized under 2 Tracks:

• Pre Revenue Based (Those startups which are yet to launch or early revenue with ARR less than INR 25 Lakhs )
• Revenue Based (Startup with minimum ARR of INR 25 Lakhs)



Focus Areas

The focus areas for both the tracks include:

• Women Founded startups (at least one-woman founder with at least 25% equity)
• Smart Manufacturing (Industry 4.0) startups
• Deep Tech startups
• Sustainability and Social Impact startups
• Mobility startups
• Medtech startups

Startups not falling in the above focus areas are also eligible to participate in the contest.

Eligibility

1. The participants can be either (a) an individual; or (b) teams of up to 5 (five) participants provided that each member of the team meets these eligibility criteria.
2. Start-up Founder/ Co-Founders must be present for pitching.
3. Startup should not be older than 5 yrs.
4. Current students/alumni of BML Munjal University (BMU) and startups being incubated at ACIC-BMU | Propel are eligible to participate.
5. ACIC - BMU | Propel and BMU employees are not eligible to participate in this contest unless their startups are being incubated at ACIC-BMU | Propel.
6. Startup applying for SISFS would be eligible according to the criteria as prescribed by DPIIT.

The Benefit Basket

1. Investment from Angel Investors and VCs
2. The investment chest would be over USD 1Mn collectively from Lead Angels,, Real Time Angel Fund, JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation, 100X.VC, Campus Fund, ah! Ventures Fund, We Founder Circle, and Fluid Ventures. The investors can individually or collectively decide to invest in a startup. The final investment decision would be based on mutual agreement between the investor(s) and startup on the ‘Term Sheet’.
3. Invite to apply for Startup India Seed Fund scheme managed by ACIC-BMU
4. The scheme offers grants (upto INR 20lacs) and debt/convertible debt (upto INR 50Lacs). The interested startups need to meet the eligibility criteria. The selection and disbursal are subject to terms and conditions.
5. AWS credits worth USD 5,000 per startup.
6. Invite to join the incubation support from ACIC-BMU | Propel
7. ZOHO credits upto INR 1.86 Lakhs per startup.
