• Provides grant support up to ₹10 Lakhs (in 2 tranches)

2.   GENESIS Pilot Fund Program

• For DPIIT-registered startups
• with MVP/working prototype ready
• Enables pilot deployment with corporates and PSUs
• Offers funding support up to ₹40 Lakhs and 10% administrative support for ecosystem partners
• Includes mentorship, documentation, and milestone-based disbursement

3.   GENESIS Investment Scheme

• For market-ready, revenue-generating startups with private co-investors
• Provides matching equity investment support up to ₹50 Lakhs
• Aims to help startups become investor-ready through mentorship, pitch sessions, and portfolio management
• Supports DeepTech, AI/ML, FinTech, HealthTech, and EdTech startups

The Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups (GENESIS) Scheme is a flagship initiative by MeitY aimed at accelerating and strengthening India’s technology startup ecosystem. Over the next five years, GENESIS will support and consolidate around 10,000 startups nationwide, fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth.

This scheme will streamline and integrate various MeitY-led startup programs, eliminating redundancies, optimizing seed funding allocation, and enhancing the effectiveness of support mechanisms. Additionally, GENESIS will introduce corporate pilot programs, facilitate industry partnerships, and create funding opportunities to drive inclusive technological advancements.

As an implementing agency under the GENESIS scheme, IIT Bhilai Innovation and Technology Foundation (IBITF) is dedicated to fostering groundbreaking innovations and nurturing technology-driven startups. IBITF, a Section-8 company, plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic research and industry by providing mentorship, funding, and access to cutting-edge infrastructure. With a strong focus on Fintech, Meditech, and Agritech, IBITF empowers startups to develop scalable solutions that address real-world challenges.

IBITF has been awarded funding under GENESIS, further strengthening its commitment to supporting deep-tech startups through structured incubation, acceleration, and funding programs. This funding will enable IBITF to expand its initiatives, enhance startup support mechanisms, and drive impactful innovations that contribute to India's technological advancement.
